Think Tank Strategy Session

Welcome to our very first monthly Think Tank Strategy Session. THIS SESSION WILL REQUIRE YOUR CAMERA TO BE ON. Everyone will be muted upon entry EXCEPT for the person in the HOT SEAT.

To ensure this session is productive and effective, we’ve provided an overview of housekeeping and necessary items or materials to have prepared and available during the session to help you prepare.

How to prepare for this session:

• Be available and focused for the entirety of this session.
• Have a notebook, pencil and sticky notes ready
• Be somewhere quiet where you can be present and uninterrupted

During this session one of you will have the pleasure of being in the HOT SEAT. If it is not your turn to be in the HOT SEAT you will be apart of the Think Tank Brain Dumping Team.

How to prepare if you ARE in the HOT SEAT

• Review the agenda that will be provided the Friday before the session.
• Create your roadmap (template will be provided)
• Identify your network and contacts and have them on an excel spreadsheet or document
• Prepare your 6 -12 month goal plan with actionable steps to make your goals achievements
• Have a list of goals or action items that you’ve already completed
• Be prepared to share your screen
• Your PRODUCT

Who to INVITE if you are in the HOT SEAT.

• Your manager
• Your biggest SUPPORTER
• The person that is willing and able to DEDICATE time to help you success
• The person that will hold you ACCOUNTABLE
• The person that can be FOCUSED on you and this session for the entire 1.5hrs

*Note: This could be 1-3 people that you have on your team or in your corner. It could be your spouse, your parent(s) a family member or best friend .

Who NOT to invite

• A RANDOM person
• A person that IS NOT interested is you and YOUR CAREER
• A person who DOES NOT have the TIME to invest in you

DO NOT bring anyone who wants to talk about themselves and their career. This is not the time for someone else to shine.

If you are not the one in the HOT SEAT this go-round, this means you are part of the Brain Dump. Your job is just as important to the success of your fellow Rhino. The Brain Dump will be 30 minutes of intense creativity and idea dumping in relation to the career of the person in the HOT SEAT. Your ideas and thoughts are a crucial part of this strategy session and will not only help the Hot Seater but will also help you.

How to prepare if you are a part of the Brain Dump Team

• Be PRESENT
• Take Notes
• Read the AGENDA ahead of time
• Be ready to PARTICIPATE!
